Who we are

At excours.io, we are an innovative startup in education and media based in Brandenburg, Germany, dedicated to revolutionizing the way cultural knowledge produced in museums is shared and experienced. Think of us as the “Netflix for guided tours”, bringing a new level of engagement with exhibitions, museum artifacts, artworks, and cultural landmarks. By transforming temporary exhibitions into permanent, accessible stories in immersive video formats, we preserve cultural narratives and make local histories significant on a global scale.

Our vision

We aim to reshape how people interact with culture by providing immersive, guided tours that transcend physical spaces and time. Our platform allows you to “zoom into the life of exhibitions”, making culture more inclusive, engaging, and emotionally impactful. Whether you’re visiting an exhibition virtually or seeking a deeper connection with an artist, curator, or a scholar, excours.io creates a space for a meaningful cultural exploration.

What we offer

  • High-quality films: All our content is filmed in 4K+ resolution, offering an immersive, visual experience.
  • Variety of topics: Our library spans from history to science, presented by seasoned and passionate curators, scholars, and artists who deliver impactful storytelling.
  • Exclusive content: Experience unique, unscripted interactions with the exhibition guide for a direct, authentic connection.
  • Accessibility: Every film is available for free, with subtitles in multiple languages and versions for the visually impaired (coming soon).
  • Interactive content: In the future, we will integrate surveys, timecode-based scene navigation, and more to make your experience interactive, not just passive.
