BioThe chief curator of the Nicholas Roerich Museum. Popov is a distinguished scholar of Nicholas Roerich and a historian of religious-mystical philosophy. He also has a personal academic interest in the culture of North American Indigenous peoples. He has compiled a catalog of the literary heritage of N.K. Roerich and has published a substantial portion of the works of N.K. and E.I. Roerich. Throughout his career, Popov has curated the Roerich Fund at the State Museum of the East in Moscow, where he also played a vital role in the establishment of the Roerich Museum.
